This week on Beam Me Up episode 259:
Two new authors this week!  Mikal Trimm and T. Joseph Dunham.   Mr. Trimm’s story is a powerful short story of a hunter and its prey.  All natural until we discover that the prey is humans and the hunter is hungry. My first story this week, With Stealth and Grace by Mikal Trimm.   Mr. Dunham, or Fox to his friends has sent in and wonderfully
thoughtful piece about an ancient generational ship and one young boy’s quest to find his place in a very complex society.  I play part one of The Heretics Son.

This week, from the blog, Gabrielle Giffords has improved enough to get permission to watch the last lift off Endeavour this week, Monochrom’s ISS is a truly quirky webisode concerning the erstwhile efforts of an odd mix of crewpeople aboard the ISS and their efforts to appear normal in an otherwise wildly out of control mission.  Researchers at Los Alamos National Laboratory have developed a platinum-free catalyst in the cathode of a hydrogen fuel cell that uses carbon, iron and cobalt.  (there is a rumor that) the world’s largest atom smasher may have detected a long-sought subatomic particle called the Higgs boson – The Hugo Award nominees are in  for 2011 and the selections could not be better!  The I.C. Celebrates it’s 50th Birthday – SpaceX says: We Can Put A Man On Mars In 10 Years – Bill Nye is booed for saying the moon is reflecting sunlight……  sigh
